I possess an academic profile, built upon three decades of progressive leadership, strategically focused regional research, and exemplary mentorship. My career trajectory evidences a determined effort not merely to participate in the field of Applied Arabic Linguistics, but actively to structure, enhance, and sustain it within the specific higher education context of Southeast Asia.   My most enduring legacy is encapsulated in three synergistic domains: Resource Generation: The creation of tangible pedagogical resources, most notably the Basic Arabic-Malay Dictionary , directly addresses critical educational gaps in the region.   Policy Relevance: The strategic importance of my research is validated by the Principal Researcher status and funding secured from the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) for the study of cultural challenges in the Malay Archipelago.   Human Capital Development: The successful supervision and guidance of sixteen postgraduate researchers, many of whom focused their studies on local educational improvements.   My continued intellectual pursuit of cutting-edge fields such as Forensic Linguistics, evidenced by the forthcoming 2025 book , confirms that my impact is enduring and expanding into new, high-value interdisciplinary areas.
