Around the Island

Hi, I’m Robin. I’m an American-born, work-at-home mother to two living in central Israel with a passion and a keen eye for photography. My photography is inspired by the world I see around me – from Israel’s awe-inspiring ancient sites and stunning scenic vistas, to its vibrant and cosmopolitan present, to the perfect beauty of the tiniest of flowers. I work in both color and black and white, focusing on nature, architectural and fine art photography. I’m rarely found without a camera in hand and am always on the lookout for that interesting shape or dramatic sunset. This blog is where I tell the stories and secrets behind the images – where they were taken, what struck me that day, how I came to be there, all the little tidbits that make up my life as a work-at-home photographer/writer/editor/wife and mom here in Israel.
