It's been years since I started writing for a Quark-formatted, Xerox-printed paper in high school, but after a stint on a college weekly the craft didn't hold interest. After some time in the working world I wandered back, but eventually editorial page letters and social media postings were not enough; there had to be room for more. This is it. The topics are typically political, but I refuse to pick a team and stay put: in a red vs. blue country I swing purple -- and when it turned out purple state was taken purple chi (Chinese for soul) took shape.
