(He/Him) · Denver, Colorado

Earl Fenner has nearly three decades of experience in the building materials industry, where he has led operations, managed large teams, and delivered consistent growth in both North America and global markets. With full P&L responsibility and oversight of more than 400 employees, he has developed a career centered on financial discipline, operational improvement, and innovation. His leadership has always placed equal importance on customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Earl earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Florida and later completed his MBA at Pepperdine University. Beginning his career in the early 1990s, he took on roles in manufacturing leadership, plant operations, and product development. These early positions gave him experience in cost control, process improvement, and managing technical complexity. His ability to deliver results in these areas soon led to senior management positions, where he influenced business strategies and expanded product reach. One of his most significant contributions was leading the Ultralight Wallboard initiative, the first of its kind in lightweight drywall technology. By guiding a cross-functional team of more than 100 people, he successfully launched USG’s SHEETROCK® Brand Ultralight Panels. This innovation not only represented a technical milestone but also became central to the company’s recovery during the Great Recession. In subsequent leadership roles, Earl advanced global marketing strategies, built partnerships that increased visibility, and oversaw innovation efforts that earned him the CEO Award. As Director of Operations, he managed a division generating more than $495 million annually and introduced the “Field Champions” program to recognize and retain top-performing employees. Later, as General Manager of the Specialty Ceilings business, he implemented a turnaround strategy that increased unit value by 350 percent, improved delivery, and enhanced employee engagement, ensuring long-term growth and stability. Alongside his professional responsibilities, he has dedicated time to mentoring, school volunteering, and supporting conservation efforts in Colorado. A family-oriented individual and marathon runner, he applies the same discipline and persistence in his personal life that he has demonstrated throughout his career. Earl Fenner’s journey reflects resilience, innovation, and strong leadership, leaving a lasting impact on the building materials industry.
