Hello MMA fans, if your reading my blog you will likely realize that I love MMA. As a student of various martial arts for the last 25 years, I am thrilled to actually see the evolution of martial arts. I feel that we still have some much to see, and the more MMA becomes mainstream we will be witness to better and better fighters. The question I always had when I was younger, watching all kung fu movies and reading books was "What is the best martial art to learn?" After training in Tae Kwon Do, Akido, Hapkido, Karate, Capoeira, Judo, Juijitsu and Muay Thai I realized that they all are the best. Each style is deadly in itself, however I often pondered what if the best of this style and the best of this other style were to fight what would happen and who would win? MMA has illistrated that warriors need to train in a number of various disciplines, and even as a black belt in one discipline doesn't make you a master of fighting. As a martial artist I will always consider myself a student first and a fighter second as I believe that you will never stop learning. As a personal trainer and martial arts instructor, I continue to reinforce this to all my students. As a father of two (little girl 2 years old and little boy that is 1 year old) I am excited to share my passion for martial arts with them and look forward to training with them someday.
