Degree Program: BA Journalism Favorite Book: Sophies World because it is a story about philosophy. It is a story about man’s revolt against God. More specifically, it is an apologetic for this revolt. In this novel, satan isn’t the abhorrent devil. Rather, he is the bringer of wisdom. He was able to enlighten Sophie, the main character, to the “truth” and encouraged her to break free of an oppressive creator by asserting her own independent capacity to choose independence. This is the very foundation of existentialist thought, and the ultimate message of the novel. Favorite Film: Marley and Me because I really love dogs. Marley is such a cute an adorable dog. I like how he stayed loyal to the family who adopted him. Favorite Media Practitioner: Jessica Soho because she is really a very good reporter. She knows how to balance a report and report it without bias. Favorite Song: Some nights because this song is the theme song of my circle of friends. Favorite Meal: Pinangat because I love foods with 'gata' and it is the best vegetable I ever tasted. Hobbies: Playing any ball games except basketball. But I enjoy playing volleyball the most.
