Linda Sgoluppi

I'm a visual artist. I paint Draw and sometimes make Installations. My work stems from ideas, exportation with materials and working method. The act of painting is a conversation between the painting and me, sometimes that is a slow conversation, other times a quick one. My drawing ‘toolbox’ contains an assortment of marks that I can use every time I start an abstract drawing. I do not know where the drawing process will take me, or what it will look like when It’s finished because each abstract drawing creates itself. This is a different process to the drawing I do from observation, things like wayside weed-skeletons or anything else I choose to draw from direct observation. While both modes of drawing hold a continual fascination for me, I hope for folk who get to see them, the results offer a way to see something in a different way and with a new focus.
