Mazen Mokhtar has distinguished himself in a career spanning nearly three decades. He currently serves as CEO of Baitulmaal, a major international humanitarian organization. He previously guided the Muslim American Society (MAS) as its Executive Director, where he focused on enriching development initiatives for American Muslim youth. Under Mazen's leadership, both organizations have seen significant growth, driven by his strategic vision and innovation. His ability to communicate effectively in English, Arabic, and French has been key in building cohesive teams and forging strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Based at Baitulmaal's headquarters in Irving, Texas, Mazen directs strategic planning and oversees humanitarian efforts in over 23 countries, including extensive projects in the U.S. He is also responsible for the organization's financial strategies and the development of key partnerships, notably his role in the inception of the American Humanitarian Forum in 2019. From 2013 to 2018, while at MAS, Mazen Moein Mokhtar managed a vast network of chapters across the U.S., initiating programs that bolstered community service and educational outreach. His involvement in the "Winning the Peace" program at West Point reflects his commitment to promoting understanding across cultural and religious divides. Mazen is often sought as a speaker on youth, Islam, and interfaith understanding. He has contributed his knowledge to esteemed institutions such as Princeton University and NYU. Before his leadership in the nonprofit sector, Mazen had a dynamic career in IT. He founded MindCraft, an IT consulting firm that provided tailored solutions to a range of clients, from emerging startups to established Fortune 500 companies. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Mazen holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering and has authored academic papers, including innovative methods for addressing complex problems like the Traveling Salesman Problem. Mazen Mokhtar resides with his family in Irving, Texas, and remains actively involved in community and philanthropic efforts. He embodies the charitable ethos instilled during his childhood in Alexandria, Egypt.
