Mulugeta Woldetsadik is a veteran Digital Librarian from Ethiopia, affiliated with Hawassa University, with over three decades of leadership in academic librarianship, digital transformation, and equitable access to information. He is passionate about expanding access to books, digital resources, and knowledge in Ethiopia and across Africa by building strategic partnerships, mobilizing resources, and championing innovative library initiatives that empower communities and future generations. Mulugeta serves as Country Coordinator for LibraryX Africa – Ethiopia and has led transformative projects such as Supporting Literacy and Education (with Book Aid International – BAI), Empowering Minds: Books & Digital Resources for the Bright Future Generation Project (with Books For Africa – BFA), and Legal Resource Support (with International Law Book Facility – ILBF), advancing literacy, access to resources, and community empowerment throughout Ethiopia. Recognized as Librarian of the Month by Librarian Spotlight Africa (August 2024), he is also a strong advocate for ethical AI use, digital literacy, Open Access (OA), and Open Educational Resources (OER) through his platform INFOLIBNET, fostering inclusive, community-driven librarianship aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education.
