I am a Lakota from Wounded Knee, ,South Dakota. with 2 son one in Reno, Nevada named Jered Lee Spotted Bear love of my life. and the other in Wall ,South Dakota.. and my family life line that exists before battle of the little big horn.. and Wounded Knee massacre.. I stand up for our people of the 564 tribes. because we know America is no country. and name after this man. [He's featured in two books - titles: Teton Sioux Music & Culture by Frances Densmore, (pgs. 394-402); Fools Crow by Thomas E. Mails (pg. 89).] Eagle Shield is the son of the Chief Crawler. His brothers are: Spotted Bear, and Deeds, One Hawk, Iron Thunder, and Felix Crawler; His sister is Walking Robe Lady. They all fought in the Battle of The Little Big Horn with the exception of One Hawk. Spotted Bear is a survivor of the Wounded Knee Massacre. Deeds was shot and killed during the The Little Big Horn. One Hawk was killed at the Battle of The Rosebud. Spotted Bear was wounded twice during the Wounded Knee Massacre, and ran home to Little Eagle on the Standing Rock reservation the very same day. We are eighth generation Hunkpapha, Lakhota starting with my two sons, Jered Lee Spotted Bear, and Beau James Spotted. I, myself, Joann Mae Spotted Bear is seventh generation. My father, Baby Joe Spotted Bear was Pine Ridge Police Oglala Lakota. His father, Louie Spotted Bear served in World War 2. Then Louie's father Thomas Spotted Bear served in World War 1 and, Thomas' father is named Thick Loaf Bread. He is a Spotted Bear who changed his name among the Lakota because he killed men in the USA calvary. Finally, we have (Spotted Bear) brother Eagle Shield, Deeds, One Hawk, Iron Thunder, Felix Crawler, and their sister, Walking Robe lady. Their father is Chief Crawler. On my mother side is Head man..Running Hawk..who helped make peace between Washington Dc and the Lakota people.. hehhonie wastie.. relations.. Gooood morning.. all the thing happening here all tell a story of the Great Lakota Nation.. from the time i was small to my fambly .. and before i was born.. to my son and my present life.. to the day Treatys started and to the naming of AMERICA , THERE IS NO RED NATION NATIVE IN THE MAKING OF ANY TREATY'S ON OUR LAND..BUT THERE IS A THUMB PRINT. I WILL NOT ALLOW OUR PEOPLE TO PLAY VICTIME BECAUSE WE NEVER WERE, WE ARE THE TRUE LAND HOLD OF THE PASS AND TODAY..AND IN THE FEATURE.. WHY IT IS IMPORTANT THAT TRADTIONAL WAYS ARE SACRED AND THE GOVERNMENT SPOKE OF UP MOST GOOD FAITH AND FIDCUARY ( TO HAVE TRUST BETWEEN 2 PARTY'S.) OUR LAKOTA PEOPLE VOWED TO NEVER KILL ANTHER GENERAL, IF THE GOVERNMENT VOWED TO FORT LARAMIE TREATY OF 1886. TO FEED AND FREE EDUCATION FOR OUR CHILDERN AND FREE HOMES.. THIS IS A OBLIGATION TO UP HOLD. WE NEVER AGREED TO.. SUEING THE GOVERNMENT IF THEY FAILED THERE JOB..AND REPLACE THIS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OFF OUR LAND UNDER TREATYS..
