Carmen Swick-Author

Author/writer since 2008 and is a member for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Carmen has won awards on her book series of three (Patch Land Adventures). She was also inducted in the “Indie Author Wall of Fame” in 2020. She was the presenting children’s book author for the 2014 Young Writers Conference for Jeffco Elementary Schools. She also volunteered for a non-profit organization, The Foundation Fighting Blindness, where she held the position as the President of the Denver Chapter, for the past 11 years. Carmen was the Chair for “The Blind Taste of the Rockies”, which is an annual fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for treatment and to help find a cure for blindness, all the while attending schools and libraries, for presentations/workshops and signings.
