Pranab Barua obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree (Buddhist Studies) at International Buddhist College, Thailand; two courses (Academic Writing and English for English Teachers) jointly organized by Oxford School of English and Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. He is currently doing Master of Arts in Linguistics at MCU, has been a volunteer teacher and staff at Development & Education Programme for Daughters & Communities Centre in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (DEPDC/GMS), Chiang Rai, and an English teacher at Wat Chantarasukh Learning Center, Thanyaburi since 2017. His several research papers; “Kumārajīva’s Remarkable Contribution to Sarvāstivāda and Mahāyāna Tradition in Medieval Chinese Buddhism” in the 7th International Conference Buddhism & Australia (2018), “Āsava: The Root Cause of Saṁsāra” in Journal of International Buddhist Studies (2018), “The Cultivation of Buddhist Meditation (bhāvanā) in Connection with Inner and Outer Peace” in United Nations Day of Vesak Celebration (2019), and “Religious Movement of Buddhadāsa: Reformation and Development of Thai Buddhism” in Journal of International Buddhist Studies College (2019). His specialization and research interests are in the field of Buddhist Studies and Religious Studies; Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and History.
