Profile James Richard Hicks - CEO & President, HR1 Companies In April 1993, Mr. Hicks founded the company that is today HR1 Services, Inc. Beginning as The Hart Group its first day of operation was in the borrowed space of his parent’s garage. At that time, the company concentrated only on physician recruitment and placement. In 1995 the company purchased a building, moved out of the garage and made its first acquisition - a temporary staffing firm [Coe & Associates]. By 1997 two additional divisions had been born, HealthCare Executive Search and a (BPO) business processing division that specializes in back office administration of health care orientated companies. Functions such as: • Human Resource Administration • Benefit Administration • Safety, OSHA • Department of Labor • Insurance Procurement • Payroll • Governmental Compliance • HIPAH Compliance • Payroll Tax Administration • Workers Compensation 2006 saw the development of a partnership that formed United Benefit Consultants [Health, Life, and Ancillary Insurance Brokerage Firm]. In 2008 and 2009, further expansion took place with the purchase of two companies {Strategic Outsourcing Solutions [PEO, ASO] and MSI Search Perimeter [Recruitment]}. In 2009 MD1 [Medical Billing] was formed and launched. To close out 2010, the management team of HR1 led the launch of Entera1 [Workers Compensation & Risk Management]. In 2011, HR1 Services was formed as the flagship brand to lead this portfolio of companies. With the addition of MD1, Entera1, and Med1 to The Hart Group's base of services; HR1 Services, with the help of its 100 employees and partners across GA, FL, SC, and NC has proven itself to be a leader in healthcare services that range from medical transportation, medical staffing, medical billing, to its Managed Care Organization & Worker’s Compensation program(s). Mr. Hicks attended the University of Georgia, is a member of several company boards and is an active supporter of FCA Outdoors and the American Heart Association. He and his wife Jennifer have two daughters CJ (9) and Rayne (7) and a son, James Hayden (9); the family resides in Atlanta, Ga.
