Work: I have a Diploma in Management from the ISM (now the ILM)and have spent more than 20 years in the IT industry, mostly in management roles. I have worked across industry verticals ranging from Manufacturing to ISP’s and Telco’s. Spending 5 years at the UK’s leading ISP Demon Internet occupying a number of senior positions within this cutting edge industry before and after the company was taken over by Scottish Telecom and subsequently entered the FTSE 100 as the re-branded “Thus”. Post flotation I held the position of Business Manager for Business Systems Support. In 2000 I moved to NetBenefit (Group NBT) as Systems Operations Manager, guiding them into the top ten of performance monitored hosting companies in the UK. After spending a number of years in the training industry, including the set up and running of my own training company, I moved into consultancy overseeing the successful amalgamation of two companies. I held senior positions at two Companies at that time. In September 2011 I joined Fido.net as Operations Manager. The best bit's: I have an amazing son who is currently doing his A levels before embarking on his chosen degree (English Literature) in September, a wonderful partner who means everything to me and gives me the drive, inspiration to be who I am today. I have an extended family of four children, of who I am immensley proud. Life IS good!
