Stephen Monro

Stephen Monro is an attorney in Washington State with long-standing experience in law, construction, and real estate. He founded the Monro Law Firm and Platinum Law Group and is admitted to all Washington State Courts as well as the Western and Eastern District Federal Courts. In addition to his legal career, he is licensed as a general contractor, real estate broker, and IRS tax preparer. For over 25 years, he has also provided pro bono legal services, representing individuals who would otherwise lack access to assistance. His areas of work include civil litigation, personal injury, and property law. Stephen was born in 1952 in Seattle, Washington. After completing high school, he attended Central Washington University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He later earned a Juris Doctor degree from City University in Los Angeles and subsequently completed a Master of Business Administration at the same institution. Before entering the legal field, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. His time in service gave him discipline, focus, and the ability to lead under pressure, qualities that carried over into his legal career and firm management. Stephen began practicing law in 1996 and has represented clients in both state and federal courts across Washington. He is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association and is affiliated with the Washington State Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. Over the years, his practice has been known under different names, including the Law Office of Stephen K. Monro, the Monro Law Firm, and Platinum Law Group. His experience as a licensed general contractor and real estate broker provides an added perspective in legal disputes involving property, contracts, and construction. He also offers mediation services at reasonable costs, with many cases resolved outside court. His IRS credential allows him to assist with tax preparation as well. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys fishing, camping with family, caring for horses, and preserving wildlife habitats. He and his wife are approaching their 50th wedding anniversary, a reflection of his strong family values. Stephen Monro continues to dedicate himself to clients, community, and family with steady commitment.
