Charleston, SC, United States in my early thirties i had everything i wanted-two beautiful daughters, a loving husband, career, and a lovely home often filled with family and friends-but then my idyllic life was interrupted by a mysterious disease. one that would come to be known as myalgic encephalomyelitis, formerly called chronic fatigue syndrome. this blog is about how i have learned to thrive in spite of chronic illness. how, even though, the life i once dreamed of is not to be...i have intentionally carved a life i can love. everyday i face the unknown and choose how to live. i am a 15 year veteran and am thrilled to have this forum in which to share my experience. i live in the beautiful peninsular port city of charleston, sc. living in this city has been a dream of mine for many years. with illness the backdrop of your life becomes more important. the city is alive with people strolling the streets and parks everyday.
